FRAMEBURST ACADEMY 5
š® Summary (TL;DR)
A channel name appears small.
But it determines how people remember you, search for you, and discuss about you.
Most people rush this step.
Thatās where the problem prevails.
š¬ What Is a Channel Name
(And Why It Matters)?
Letās make it easy for you.
Your channel name is the name people use to:
- Find you
- Talk about you
- Remember you
It is like your identity online.
If someone watches your video and enjoys it, what do they do next?
They recall your name⦠or attempt to search it.
If your name is confusing, overly long, or forgettableā¦
You create difficulty for viewers to return.
Thatās why this matters more than it appears.
ā³ Why You Should NOT Rush This?
Many newcomers do this:
They get eagerā¦
Think of a random nameā¦
And start right away.
It feels fast. It seems efficient.
But later?
Problems arise.
Imagine this:
- You grow your channel
- People start acknowledging your name
- Then it dawns on you⦠you donāt like it at all
Now what?
If you change your name:
- People unsubscribe
- Your identity resets
- People get perplexed
- Old viewers canāt find you easily
Possible⦠but chaotic.
Thatās why itās wiser to invest your time now, instead of fixing it later.
š§ How I Came Up With ‘Takzicution’
(Step-by-Step Guide)?
I did not pop the name instantly.
There was no āsudden thought.ā
I built it gradually.
š Step 1: The Chart Paper
I purchased a chart paper.
Not a phone note. Not a quick list.
An actual large sheet.
And I assigned myself a single task:
Write down 100 name ideas.
Not 10. Not 20.
100.
It spent one whole week on it.
Some names were poor. Some were awkward. Some made no sense.
That was fine.
The aim wasnāt flawlessness.
The goal was discovery.
āļø Step 2: Shortlisting
I picked the finest ones.
Just 5 names reached the shortlist.
At this point, the real thinking commenced.
ā Step 3: The Questions That Matter
For every name, I questioned myself:
- Is it brand-worthy?
- Can people shorten it?
-
Is it excessively lengthy?
- Will it create any issues?
- Is the name already taken?
- Is it available on YouTube?
- Do I personally love the name?
- Is it easy to spell and comprehend?
- Will I like being called by this name?
- Does it resemble to another creator’s name?
- Will I still enjoy it in a few months or years?
- Does it align with my personality, traits and characteristics?
- Does it include overused words like āanimationsā or āanimatesā?
š¤ Why These Questions Matter?
Each question safeguards you from a potential threat.
E.g:
- If itās hard to spell ā people wonāt find you
- If itās too long ā people wonāt remember you
- If you do not love it ā you will want to change it later
- If it sounds like someone else ā you wonāt stand out or be blame for plagarism
These are minor details nowā¦
But big issues later.
So instead of assumingā¦
You test the name before selecting it.
š Step 4: Narrowing Down Again
Out of 5 namesā¦
Now I needed external opinions.
š£ļø Step 5: Getting Feedback
I shared the 3 names to:
- Family
- Friends
- Relatives
- Teachers
I asked them simple questions:
- Which one sounds better?
- Which one feels different?
- Which one is easier to remember?
- Which name you will love to call me by?
This assist me perceive things I overlooked myself.
āļø But Hereās the Important Part:
Feedback from others is beneficial.
However, it does NOT decide for you.
If everyone prefers one nameā¦
But another name feels more like youā¦
Because in the end:
Youāre the one to carry this name for years.
Not them.
šÆ How āTakzicutionā Was Chosen:
After all that thinking, testing, and feedbackā¦
One name was prominent.
It felt special.
It felt different.
It felt like something I could develop myself with.
That name was:
Takzicution (That rhymes with Execution, I’m going to execute my dreams. All too soon.)
Not random.
Not hurried.
š¬ A Final Thought:
Your channel name serves more than just a label.
It shows who you are.
You do not need the āperfectā name.
But you do need a name you look back on with regret.
Test it properly.
Because once you startā¦
That name remains with you.
